I took a whole box of parts to them they they dipped and sprayed under high pressure for 50$ for intake mani, plenum, and various other engine mounts and pieces. You can't find an ounce of carbon on it after that. : I've got the upper intake off right now, and i'm cleaning up the top portion with lots of degreaser, simple green, rags and alot of rubbing. I'm going to clean out the throttle bodies, but after turning over the whole intake and looking inside, i'm seeing LOTS of black deposits, really bad on most of the cylinders execpt for one. The rags and toothbrushes will only go in so far, so should i even attempt cleaning out some of those deposits in the pics below? And what do the color differences mean in each cylinder? I'm getting the ATK engine installed right now. So hopefully the turbos will be in tomorrow and i can be back on the road this week :-) :
